scallop shell box

I love having ornaments in our home that carry the love of family and friends. . .

This is another special gift that sits upon the shelves in my office. (Other things I’ve shared that hang out on my office bookshelves include the frog holding flowers vase, bite sized inspiration, positively packing, and a greener world.) It is from a colleague I worked with in Leadership Development at IBM named Melanie. She is an energetic and brilliant young professional who was creating experiences for the best of our managers. She is also one of the kindest, gentlest beings I’ve met. Catch this – at HER going away party SHE gave each of us a hand-made gift with a personalized note card. What you see here is the 5″ wide hinged wooden box shaped like a scallop shell that her Dad made. Precious, no?
