Kambuche posole

After a long adventuresome drive through the Sierra Madra mountains from the sandy beaches of the Pacific coast (see the light shining through and hanging on a mountain), a hearty and delicious bowl of posole was just the thing to ease into 4 days checking out a new city. Jim and I shared this simple soup with chicken and hominy, served up at Kambuche, a restaurant conveniently located just a couple of blocks from our hotel in Oaxaca City, Mexico. We’d been anticipated the flavors, smells and artistic flair of this city for quite some time, and were pleased with our opening experience. Don’t miss the bonus photos below.
