Isn’t this flower beautiful in the morning sunlight? I cut it from one of my perennials back when the weather turned cold and it has been quite happy in a little vase of water with some friends (see below) for about a month! It’s sibling was much smaller but bloomed after and is very sweet – see photo #2 below. Little sister is still doing her purple shiny thing on my kitchen window sill! I also like to keep a little bouquet of fresh herbs on the sill over the winter to cheer me up, like the oregano and thyme in the photos below. I am so grateful to Mother Nature for her beauty and magic.
