This birdhouse is purely decorative and stays inside our home. (I imagine it’s not very practical for birds given its 3 entry holes, one on every other of its 6 sides.), Usually it sits on the floor in our dining room amidst the potted plants under the big windows that let in lots of light. On occasion, on a clear evening in the summer, I’ve been known to hang it outside on one of the iron hooks mounted on the posts of our pergula, just to cozy things up. One thing I like about it is that no matter what angle you see it from, with its multiple entry points, it always offers possibility. While I think I bought this one for myself, it always reminds me of my Mom and Dad who bought several houses for our birds one year and put them up around our back yard. The bonus photo below is the biggest one they bought and mounted (which you can see the sparrows love!).
