growing to the light

Jim bought me this plant late last summer. It’s the first orange flower to grace our garden. It has survived so far because this year we’ve managed to keep the rabbits out of the back yard. I hope that we can do the same next year and that we’ll have many months of appreciating these lovely orange coneflowers. I love them at all stages – when they are green and getting started, when they are beginning to show their colors (and a bit scraggly), and when they are in full blossom. Flowers simply bring me joy!
